Carrying Half Decks and Full Decks
SHUFFLES & CUTS - chapter 2, page 197
I was asked about the practicality of three or more consecutive base-throws with an overhand shuffle. The key to this full-deck control is the combined movement of the left hand (vertical), left thumb (swiping), right hand (vertical), and the hands, deck, and body moving to the right (or left in a magic application). Depicted is a six-part shuffle. I prefer the shorter three-part version, contending that both sequences accomplish the same goal, which is a final shuffle to kill the commonly exposed cards during OTT riffles.
