FALSE DEALS - chapter 5, page 403

Here's the question that was posed to me. Can a tiny, subtle, artificial action really improve the deceptiveness of a deal and still appear to be natural? Good question. The answer is yes. Among card players, there's a seemingly endless range of card-handling styles, so subtle changes are quicky accepted as part of an individual's style. The key attribute of this particular nontraditional deal is that the entire top of the deck can be visible to observers during the deal. I like the deal for dealing individual cards with time between each deal, although consecutive swipes can be dealt with practice. I stated the possibility of achieving the so-called 'melting action' of dealing the second card without resorting to a strike-second deal with a tiny brief. This is just one method . . . others will be posted.
