One-Card Cut

STUNTS - chapter 9, page 773

This ace-cutting stunt features an odd one-card cut. I called it a "slip-cut" in GSOH and caused some confusion—sorry about that. The move is actually a legitimate cut that only holds back the top card.

With the aces on top, start with a one-card as depicted. Carry the cut but don't let go. Slide the deck back, get a break under the top half, and flip the top ace face up. Repeat and mimic the same actions as before but simply cut to the break, carry the cut, and reveal the second ace. Repeat the sequence as described for the last two aces with a one-card cut followed by a legitimate cut.

The one-card cut is almost impossible to see given the up-and-leaning-back action of the top half. Put on your creative hat—this cut has other applications.
