Back-shift

Here's an example of a nontraditional shift that starts with a backward movement of the upper half. One reader doubted the move's practicality; in fact, he bluntly asked, "What the hell is a back-shift?" It's an exploratory move that can be done with different speeds in different ways depending on whether the application is gambling or magic. The clip depicts my favorite way to demonstrate the move.
