SIRP

SHUFFLES & CUTS - chapter 2, page 65

For some reason, this simple move caused some confusion for many readers. It's a brazen move with two technical goals. The first is starting the riffle before the halves are completely split. The second is starting to push the halves together before the riffle ends with the slug riffling next to or behind the left second finger for cover. The clip depicts SIRP as I first watched it, which was with a simple three-part positioning strip preceding each riffle to carry a 20-card slug, represented by the Ah-Kh and Ac-7c. The sequence should be done briskly. (Note: The second shuffle in this sequence better represents the move.)
